Rosie Pearl grew up in Riverhead, Long Island. And is one of 6 children. Her mother did not finish high school, but, was always writing short stories and Poems, some of which were published. That is where Rosie’s love for writing was born. As a child, Rosie started writing stories most of which were Fiction. She now lives in Westchester New York and is a single parent to 5 children. Three boys and two girls. Two of her sons are biological and one son is Korean. Her two daughters who live with her are Vietnamese. This is where she came up with the story I’m Sugar a Pink Pig which is a story of love and adoption. Rosie became a nurse and then a sonographer. She worked at one of the largest teaching hospitals in NYC where she was in charge of the unit. At this
hospital she did many hours of research in gynecological and obstetrical ultrasound. When her research papers were accepted for the World conference in Ultrasound and Medicine. It gave Rosie the opportunity, to visit many countries and present her research.
Rosie Pearl is a researcher, published author, social worker, and a single mother of five beautiful children, three of which are adopted. She has been an advocate for international adoption. She has served as a New York State representative for various organizations, including the Citizens committee of 1000.
As a single mother, Rosie Pearl has been a constant supporter of parenting education and children’s health issues. Today, after 20 years of service to various organizations, she continues to encourage young parents and provide them with support through her educational programs.
Rosie retired from medicine to pursue a lifelong dream—writing novels. Her deep appreciation for storytelling is rooted in her passion for learning and sharing valuable lessons. With her experience as a nurse and her love for children’s literature, Rosie is excited to share her stories with the world.
